Software Development Engineer - Prime Video, Linear Experience

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. We are looking for strong developers who are passionate about delivering excellent digital media experiences to our customers. The candidate will have an opportunity to influence linear TV consumption behavior of millions of Prime Video customers globally by developing micro services using AWS tech stack. The candidate will be supported by Principal Engineers, and Sr. technical leaders in the organization to ensure they are successful at Amazon.

Successful candidates for this position will have a strong background in C++/Java, Python and/or SQL. Experience with ElasticSearch, AWS services including Dynamo, SQS, and Athena will enable you to on-board seamlessly. Equally important to these functional skills are a candidate's ability to multi-task, adapt to evolving business requirements, and ability to communicate clearly and concisely through written communication.
