Description
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Our team, Physical Stores Advertising, focuses on developing engaging advertising products for customers that shop at physical stores, such as Whole Foods Market, Amazon Fresh, and Amazon Go. Our Team:
We own building, launching, and commercializing innovative ad products in-store and do not shy away from technical challenges. Our team is responsible for full-stack implementation and integration of new advertising products, which power the ad content, targeting, and attribution across our advertising network with physical stores. We utilize the latest in cloud technology to build out products supporting custom experiences, both in browser and on mobile platforms, using custom hardware and android operating systems.
Key job responsibilities
In this role you will deal with mostly JVM-based backend services, React/JavaScript single-page applications, various persistence technologies such as DynamoDB and RDS, and exciting specialty technology specific to physical stores. This is a large initiative that spans across multiple existing and to-be-formed engineering and product teams within the Advertising organization.
