Software Development Engineer

- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of full stack development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- Experience in one or more relevant front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, etc.
- Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
- Master's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Experience with the AWS platform, web services, software development, or related technologie

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon GameLift Streams is looking for an experienced full-stack software engineer to join our team. In this role you will own end-to-end feature development, maintenance, and operational excellence for the service. You will design and build features that span every layer of the stack, from customer-facing web experiences to backend services and cloud infrastructure. You will work with a wide range of languages and technologies such as TypeScript, Java, Kotlin, Go, Rust, Python, and CDK. You will collaborate with cross-functional team members including Product Managers, UX Designers, and Senior Engineers to build systems that surprise and delight our customers. The ideal candidate is a full-stack generalist with a strong ownership mindset who thrives in a highly collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment.

Key job responsibilities
- Design, implement, and operate features across the full stack, from web frontend to backend services and cloud infrastructure.
- Own features end-to-end from design through deployment, moving quickly to get capabilities into customers' hands.
