Software Developer - Graphics , Amazon Games Montréal

- 7+ years of experience in C++
- 7+ years of experience developing systems and graphics for AAA video games
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field
- Experience writing optimized HLSL/GLSL and compute shaders
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, in French and English; due to the nature of the role which requires interaction with other Amazon entities globally and with Amazon employees and stakeholders in other provinces in Canada, bilingual French and English is required for this position.
- Experience with Unreal 5 or similar game engine

As a Software Developer - Graphics, you create and support key graphics components for an ambitious online multiplayer game on PC. Always striving for innovation, you ensure a competitive gaming experience, optimise GPU performance on a variety of hardware, and collaborate with technical artists to develop new graphics features and tools. Your work integrates seamlessly with the other game ingredients, providing the players with a unique experience.

Key job responsibilities
- Work on a competitive game experience, with strong focus on performance, reactivity and accuracy.
- Work on low-level GPU optimization on a wide range of PC hardware, in collaboration with external partners.
- Contribute to and optimise custom technology that extends the functionality of the Unreal Engine.
- Develop new graphics features and tools in collaboration with tech artists.
- Take ownership of major graphics components.
