- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. The Network Lifecycle Management (NLM) organization is responsible for scaling and maintaining Amazon's global network capacity. Within NLM, the Cabling Services team owns the planning, ordering, and fulfillment of network cabling projects. This includes building software to ensure predictable, on-time delivery of materials to deliver network capacity.

Key job responsibilities
As a Software Development Engineer on this team, you will take ownership of substantial parts of complex, large-scale problems with real impact on Amazon's infrastructure. A key focus of your work will be developing data center digital twin automation to support automated fiber infrastructure design that optimizes material orders and resource allocation at scale. You will have the autonomy to define your own direction, shape technical solutions, and drive meaningful outcomes across the cabling lifecycle.
