Description
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. We are looking for a Sr. Software Development Engineer to help us evolve the tools, services and frameworks we provide. We seek that rare combination of a solid coding background, a proven track record of applying cutting-edge technologies at scale, and a willingness to challenge the status quo and raise the bar on every service and feature we build.
Key job responsibilities
- A strong understanding of, and a desire to deeply learn customer and developer needs, experience building and operating consumer-facing systems from the ground up, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to build trusted relationships with senior partners (Sr. SDM, Director, VP), as the initiatives are highly strategic and visible across Amazon's senior leadership.
- You will be responsible for challenging the status quo, raising the bar on every service and feature we build, driving the team’s long-term vision and architecture, shaping roadmaps, and providing technical leadership to the engineering team. The ideal candidate will have extensive design and architecture experience, knowledge of AWS technologies and services (e.g., AWS Lambda, ECS, CloudFormation, VPC, API Gateway, Amazon CloudWatch, etc.), front-end and middle-tier frameworks, and a proven track record of building mission-critical, highly scalable systems.
- To drive our campaign creation technology evolution strategy, we are looking for someone self-motivated, who will invest time in understanding customers in a meaningful way, is highly goal-oriented, self-driven to push boundaries, and has a track record of delivering results
