- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

- Frontend: Extensive experience (5+ years) with React.js, 7+ years of overall experience with frontend development. Has lead the development and architectural design of scalable and distributed front-end experiences. Has developed React.js frontend libraries used by multiple teams. Has advanced expertise with Webpack, Jest, NPM, Node, Babel, Lodash, SASS, ESLINT, React Testing Library, and Typescript.
- Backend: 5+ years of developing highly scalable backend microservices. 5+ years of backend development experience writing in Python, TypeScript and/or Java. Have some experience in all three languages
- Cloud Architecture: 5+ years of cloud services development such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. Experience deploying serverless (AWS Lambda) APIs. Experience with AWS Cloud Development Kit (CDK) or similar.
- Database Skills: Demonstrated 5+ years experience with relational DBs such as PostgresSQL, BI Data Warehouses such as AWS Redshift, and NoSQL Databases such as DynamoDB.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. As a Senior Software Development Engineer (SDE) in the AWS Workforce Planning team, you will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including architecture, design, development, documentation, testing and operations. You will be an important part of the AWS Workforce products team and will focus on leveraging native AWS solutions to build and scale scrappy and new applications that will deliver consumer like experiences to AWS employees and candidates.

You will enable a global staff of workforce strategists and cross functional groups to perform scenario analysis and understand the downstream impact of workforce decisions. As a tech expert, you will be an advocate for compelling user experiences and will demonstrate the value of automation and data-driven planning tools in the People Experience and Technology space.

* Execute Full-stack development in every sense, serving as the team’s primary lead engineer and technical expert, mentoring and coaching jr. engineers on the team.
* Leading designing, building, and testing features for brand new planning applications.
* Primary owner of architecture design. Review and approve design documents provided by peer engineers.
* Consider and advise on key design and technology trade-offs as we launch, scale and migrate new planing applications.
