We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Engineering to establish and run our new site in Mexico City. The successful candidate will play a critical role in building and managing a team of engineers and delivering on our programs while ensuring that our team culture is effectively implemented and embraced in this new location. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive experience in building high-performing teams and launching scalable and resilient systems in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit and build a high-performing engineering team. Foster and maintain a strong team culture that aligns with our global values and practices. Build and nurture a high-performing organization through effective hiring, retention, performance management, mentoring, and skills development. - Lead the execution and completion of all key projects, ensuring high standards of quality and timeliness. Drive the architecture, design, implementation, and operational support of critical tools and services that align with our mission. Evaluate complex business and technical requirements, communicating inherent risks and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Fluent in both Spanish and English.

About the team
Demand Science Optimization (DSO) builds products that automate data-driven decision-making for demand planning across build, allocation, and consumer sales. This includes determining optimal pricing to maximize CP (or minimize promo spend), maximize in-stock rates while meeting consumer demand, as well as gauging consumer willingness to pay for subscription and physical products. We build machine learning, OR, and modeling systems to achieve these goals.
