Amazon’s Price Perception team is tasked with understanding how customers perceive the prices in our store, and building features to improve our Customers experience. As more than 60% of Amazon’s business is from 3P sellers who set their own prices, this is a challenging space! There are more than 2 billion price updates per day, and we need to help Customers save money and discover great deals while simultaneously building features to protect them against price gouging and offers that may hurt their trust.

We’re looking for an expert product manager who thrives in ideating and inventing new products. You will need to be a polished communicator as you’ll be authoring docs that go all the way to Amazon’s most senior leadership team. As the Principal Product Manager, Price Perception, you will own our worldwide suite of Price Perception tools that help Customers love the prices they experience on Amazon. You’ll partner with our team of engineers, user experience designers, research scientists, data scientists, and business intelligence engineers to innovate on Amazon's shopping experiences across the store. You'll design, launch, and measure experiments that help drive discovery of the best priced selection in our store.

Successful candidates will have a keen ability to distill insights from customer research, and innovate to solve ambiguous customer problems. They will be able to translate these insights into testable experiments to address unmet needs, or improve a particular shopping outcome. You'll thrive in an environment with lots of opportunity to invent new approaches, while moving fast and learning from prior experiments.

You will thrive in a collaborative, creative, analytical, and fast-paced environment and are comfortable interacting with senior leaders, technical software development teams, design teams, research teams, and business intelligence teams.

If the scale of the space sounds interesting, we would love to talk to you!

Key job responsibilities

- Analyze complex datasets and market trends to identify opportunities for improving price perception and driving customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of price perception initiatives and guide data-driven decision making.
- Collaborate with other product teams across Amazon to ensure cohesive customer experiences and leverage synergies between different parts of the business.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies that could impact price perception strategies.
- Mentor and develop junior product managers, fostering a culture of innovation and customer obsession within the team.
