Network Design Program Manager, Middle Mile Network Control

- Bachelor's degree
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics
- Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements
- Experience in driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience leading process improvements
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Amazon seeks a Network Design Program Manager that combines collaborative and analytical skills with a passion for problem solving on behalf of our customers. In this role you will contribute as part of a network planning team in our EU headquarters to help deliver customer packages faster, more reliably, and at a lower cost.

Key job responsibilities
- Development and execution of network design and optimization strategy to support cost. reductions, increase delivery speed and improved delivery experience for Amazon customers.
- Contribute to the strategy, prioritize technical and operational initiatives, evaluate and set stakeholders expectations.
- Development of necessary tools to enable optimal design of network.
- Work closely with commercial, operational and technical stakeholders to drive the implementation of initiatives.
- Drive cross functional teams to deliver programs.

A day in the life
As a Program Manager, you'll be responsible for planning, implementing, and improving initiatives that ensure the smooth running of our operations. You’ll work closely with a range of Amazon colleagues to understand how they work, and what you and your teams can learn, as well as sharing your own expertise. Together, you’ll identify exciting new opportunities and will take the lead when it comes to designing their implementation.

You’ll encourage and support your teams and colleagues to meet important deliverables, while proactively looking for new, data-backed ways to do things better. Your work will be integral to your team’s success.

About the team
As part of STEP MMNC, you’ll be welcomed into a diverse team that plays a central role in our success. You will work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment that requires you to be detail-oriented and comfortable in working with multiple business and technical teams. The role will involve understanding the physical and virtual transportation processes, from our Fulfillment Centers, through Sort Centers on to our final mile carriers. As part of the Network Expansions Transportation team you'll combine business process knowledge, data expertise, and analysis skills to identify and drive programs for the right-sizing of our EU fulfillment network.
