As Software Development Engineer(s), selected candidate(s) will have the chance to have an impact on thousands of Amazon customers (from buyers and sellers, to Amazon employees) while working with industry-leading technologies. Amazon's LATAM Software Development Engineering organization is growing and we're looking for Software Engineer(s) with technical coding/programming academic background who thrive on learning from complex problems and are able to face challenges while working with multiple technical teams at Amazon.
The selected candidate(s) is expected to contribute to all parts of the software development and deployment lifecycle, including but not limited to: design, development, documentation, testing and operations. They will be an integral part of a team that encourages experimentation and innovation on behalf of our customers. This role will directly participate in building and correcting software in partnership with other developers within the organization.
Within this role, selected candidate(s) will not only code, but also drive the direction of the software architecture, and team best practices.
Alongside their technical team, selected candidate(s) will be responsible for delivering production-ready code that will be used by thousands of Amazon customers, and own end-to-end customer experience of the services and features that are built. As an Software Development Engineer at Amazon, you will play a pivotal role in the following:
- Work with the team to help drive business decisions.
- Design, implement, test, deploy and maintain innovative software solutions to drive services optimizations, cost, and security.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor in Brazil geographic markets. The base pay for this full-time, permanent position ranges from BRL R$8,000 to BRL R$ 9,000 per month (in addition to Amazon Restricted Stock Units and Sign-on Payments in Year 1 and Year 2).

- Collaborate to build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault-tolerant, low cost, and easy to manage/use.

A day in the life
Selected full-time permanent Software Development Engineers are required to work at least 3 days from office and 2 days from home. If selected, you will receive financial relocation support, if currently living 80 kilometers (kms) or more from our São Paulo location.
