Front End Engineer,AST, FLY Capacity Manager

- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. The Air Science and Technology team is seeking a Front End Engineer to be part of a team of developers supporting Amazon Air.
The ideal candidate should be a leader, quick learner and be able to work independently. He/she should be able to operate in a very fast paced environment where time to hit market is super critical. The candidate will need to balance technical leadership and savvy with strong business judgment to make the right decisions about technology choices. Key job responsibilities
-Successful candidates for this position will have a strong background in building web applications using current technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS and web-UI frameworks like jQuery, React, Flux etc.
-Equally important to these specific skills are a candidate's ability to multi-task, quickly adapt to new development environments and changing business requirements, learn new systems, create reliable/maintainable code, and find creative and scalable solutions to difficult problems.
-Work closely with product managers, research scientists, Data scientists, Air Operations and senior engineers to implement and deploy applications that impact Amazon Air end to end operations.
·-Management and execution against project plans and delivery commitments.
·-Assist directly and indirectly in the continual hiring and development of technical talent.
· Create and execute appropriate quality plans, project plans, test strategies and processes for development activities in concert with business and project management efforts.
