The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. A Commissioning Project Engineer (CxPE) supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP).
This position is part of a career development program, which aims to develop the CxPE into a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) through a three-phase mentoring program.

Key job responsibilities
The key responsibility of a Project Engineer is to develop a detailed understanding of AWS critical infrastructure. You will learn the fundamentals related to managing a commissioning project within AWS. As part of this process you will work with different team members who will introduce you to the internal project management tools. You will then progress to the on the job phase where you will participate in the on-site commissioning activities. During the phase of you will support the Lead Commissioning Engineers (CxE) with managing a project from beginning to end.
- Manage the creation of projects within internal Amazon systems.
- Manage the administrative task related to the commissioning process.
- Support the Request for Quote process, ensuring all relevant documentation is available for the commissioning vendors to provide a detailed quote.
- Manage the required vendor project deliverables ensuring on time delivery for the CxE's review.
- Manage project resourcing ensuring all vendors comply with the Leads Qualification Process (LQP).
- Create and manage the approval of the Change Management requests for the commissioning activities of the assigned project
