Are you energized by turning complex data into actionable insights that drive compliance and cost optimization at Amazon scale? If so, we'd like to talk to you.

As a Business Intelligence Engineer II on the WW EPR team, you will design, build, and maintain the data pipelines, reports, and analytics solutions that power our Worldwide EPR compliance and circularity programs. You will work with large, multi-regional datasets — delivering efficient, testable BI solutions that enable cross-functional teams to make data-driven decisions on regulatory obligations, recycling fees, and operational performance across global markets. You will collaborate directly with stakeholders and partner closely with senior BIEs to solve ambiguous problems, automate manual workflows, and continuously improve data quality and reporting standards.

Key job responsibilities
• Create mechanisms for non-technical stakeholders to self-serve data including during urgent issue management
• Scope and deliver strategic projects to accelerate the success of the safety programs supported
• Look for opportunities to simplify and automate redundant processes
• Take the problems of stakeholders and help them understand technical solutions which can be delivered
• Leverage a combination of AWS services, internal data services, and AI-based tooling and solutions to deliver data products and simplification
• Partner with technical teams on end to end data solutions, focusing on data pipelines that power core reporting and dashboarding solutions

About the team
Our Worldwide EPR team owns Amazon's global compliance strategy for Extended Producer Responsibility — ensuring adherence to post-consumer waste regulations across packaging, electronics, batteries, and textiles in all operating regions. We enable circular economy value for Selling Partners, Vendors, and customers by connecting every product sold to verified recovery outcomes with auditable results. We work cross-functionally with Legal, Business, Product, and Data Science/Engineering teams across NA, EU, APAC, and emerging markets to deliver compliance programs at scale. EPR shifts post-consumer waste management costs from municipalities to producers — requiring all Selling Partners on Amazon's marketplace to register, report product data, pay recycling fees to PROs, and establish take-back systems. This incentivizes environmentally friendly product and packaging design.
EPR is part of the Regulatory Intelligence, Safety and Compliance (RISC) organization, dedicated to protecting Amazon customers from products that are illegal, unsafe, or otherwise prohibited
