The Ring team is looking for a passionate and talented iOS Application Builder who has broad experience building world-class mobile apps. You will join the team that owns the core frameworks and systems powering the entire Ring and Blink apps — the foundation millions of customers rely on to keep their homes safe every day.

This is a great opportunity to build the foundational frameworks, AI pipelines, and Design System that every other team builds on top of, shaping the architecture, developer experience, and quality of two flagship apps at scale.

- Own and advance the core frameworks, and Design System that power the Ring and Blink apps
- Design AI pipelines and tooling that accelerate how features are built across the org
- Build reusable systems and APIs that empower other mobile teams to ship faster and more reliably
- Work in Swift across foundational platform code, developer tooling, and user-facing features
- Collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and other mobile and backend teams
- Help Ring on its mission to make neighborhoods safer

Key job responsibilities

- Design, develop and maintain the core frameworks and systems that power our iOS apps.
- Lead architecture and design of features and platform components, from conception to launch.
- Develop and maintain robust frameworks, and the Design System used by other teams to build delightful, accessible, and consistent experiences.
- Build and operate AI pipelines and developer tooling that accelerate feature development across the org.
- Build reusable systems and components, design long-lived APIs, and own their long-term maintenance.
- Develop and deliver user-facing features — loading data from the backend, caching it, displaying it in a UX-friendly manner, and analyzing user behavior for those features.

A day in the life
You will shape the core of Ring's offerings — prototyping ideas, solving complex problems, and raising the bar by driving best practices and automating away pitfalls. A typical day might include writing documentation, developing features, reviewing pull requests, and discussing implementation with design and product. Because the team owns shared frameworks and AI pipelines, many of your "customers" are other developers building on top of your work across the Ring and Blink apps. Depending on the area, you may go deep on platform architecture, AI pipelines, or UI/UX and accessibility.

About the team
The Usability team owns the core frameworks that power the Ring and Blink apps — from the Design System anchored in the Safe design language, to shared platform libraries and AI pipelines that accelerate how features are built. Our mission is to boost the productivity and experience of fellow developers with robust tools and frameworks, while ensuring consistency and quality across our apps. We are active users of Ring and Blink devices, are data driven, and value ownership — working backwards from our customers to deliver an innovative, seamless experience.
