🌟 Senior Solution Architect (Airport Operations)

📍 Location: Bangalore

POSITION SUMMARY

In close collaboration with software and hardware development teams, you will ensure that solution architectures support AAO business objectives and align with broader enterprise architecture and technology strategy.
You will play a key role in the development, deployment, and integration of AAO Self‑Service solutions.

You will report to the Group Architect and your responsibilities will include:

• 🤝 Connecting with identified stakeholders to anticipate dependencies and improve existing software solutions.
• 💡 Making recommendations in your domain of expertise (technical/functional solutions).
• 🔍 Ensuring technological watch (staying updated with latest evolutions).
• 🛠️ Providing ongoing support.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

🔧 Technical Function

• Serve as the Solution Architect on self-service projects for high-profile India-based airport customers.
• Attend client meetings and produce customer-facing documentation.
• Set up secure cloud and on‑premise infrastructure (AWS network rules, WAFs, security groups, IAM policies, etc.).
• Set up/update/maintain security alerts using data from operational monitoring tools (e.g., SCADA, AgentPortal*, PRTG, CloudWatch, RabbitMQ, Elastic, RealTimeHub*).
  AgentPortal and RealTimeHub are internal Amadeus tools.
• Implement and enhance security tooling + automation, including alerting and integrations with 3rd‑party systems.
• Maintain company security policies.
• Coordinate penetration testing for product lines handling personal/sensitive data.
• Promote security culture and awareness across teams.
• Protect the public attack surface from new and emerging threats.
• Automate daily manual tasks.
• Support tenders and compliance questionnaires.

• Ensure security deliverables meet Amadeus quality standards.

• Self-Service Architecture team
• Amadeus Security team
• Airport customers
• Self-Service engineering teams
• (At times) Airline customers

RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE

Experience owning end‑to‑end technical delivery in regulated, multi‑stakeholder environments.

Airports are uniquely complex! Security sensitive, integration‑heavy, operationally critical, and institutionally layered. The architect must operate across infrastructure, application, vendor, airline, and airport ecosystems.

Airport Operational Systems

• IATA standards
• ACI best practices
• CUPPS / CUSS

Self-Service Technologies

• Check‑in kiosks
• Self‑bag drop
• Biometric boarding gates
• Boarding pass & baggage tag printers
• DigiYatra (desirable)

Airline DCS Integration

(e.g., Amadeus, Sabre, Navitaire)

Deployment Experience

You should have led:

• Multi‑site rollouts
• Hardware + software deployments
• Networked edge devices
• Remote device management at scale
• Cutover planning in 24/7 environments

➡️ If not airport experience, regulated edge infra experience in banking, healthcare, telco, transport is acceptable.

Required: 8+ years in IT/Engineering/Software (preferably Airports) as Senior Engineer/Solution Architect/DevOps/SecDevOps.
Soft Skills: Ability to work in globally matrixed, complex organizations; strong communication skills.

• Experience with AWS, ElasticSearch, CI/CD pipelines, Git
• Ability to stay focused under time‑critical operational pressure
