Summary of the role
You’ll be part of the global Rooms & Devices team, supporting meeting room hardware such as Microsoft Teams Rooms (MTRs), laptop‑ready rooms, and interactive displays. Your work will help deliver reliable conferencing and video collaboration services across platforms including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet.
The team supports Global Real Estate (GRE) and Global Digital Facilities (GDF) by providing hardware designs for new or refurbished rooms, contributing to the ongoing service strategy, and providing Level 3 (L3) support when escalated from Level 2 (L2) support teams and GDF.
In this role you’ll / Your main responsibilities
Review new hardware and software features in a lab environment and recommend improvements to deliver a consistent, high‑quality meeting room experience.
Maintain and monitor hardware inventory and lifecycle data using ServiceNow (SNOW) Asset Management, Microsoft Pro Portal, and Microsoft Intune.
Provide meeting room hardware solution designs from the existing catalog for new and upgraded rooms, based on requirements from Global Real Estate (GRE), Business Needs & Facilities (BNF), and Global Digital Facilities (GDF).
Troubleshoot audio‑visual (AV) and videoconferencing issues across meeting rooms and collaboration spaces, including configuring and supporting Zoom Rooms environments.
Monitor conferencing infrastructure health and performance, and maintain accurate documentation for room configurations, system architecture, and support processes.
Stakeholders
Internally & very often: Workplace Experience (WFX) teams such as GDF, SOF, IPN, UCE, MES
Internally & occasionally: Amadeus corporate teams such as GRE and BNF, and potentially Executive Committee (ExCom) members
Occasionally externally: Technology partners and providers such as Microsoft, Zoom, Google, Cisco, Logitech, and AV system integrators
Education & experience
AVIXA Certified Technology Specialist (CTS) certification or equivalent, and/or certifications from Microsoft, Q‑SYS, or other industry‑recognized vendors related to video conferencing or audio‑visual systems.
A university degree is not required. Equivalent professional experience, certifications, or hands‑on technical expertise are welcome.
Relevant work experience
Hands‑on experience supporting videoconferencing devices, streaming, and collaboration platforms (for example Microsoft Teams / Live Events, Microsoft Stream, Zoom, Google Meet) within a corporate environment.
Experience designing, deploying, and supporting videoconferencing and meeting room solutions.
Experience with cloud Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) solutions from an engineering and governance perspective.
Experience with room scheduling systems, room automation, and monitoring tools for conferencing platforms.
Ability to work effectively in an environment with changing priorities, using clear goals, documentation, and collaboration across teams.
Business skills
Takes ownership of assigned tasks, with clear follow‑up, documentation, and communication of progress and outcomes.
Able to assess incidents impacting high‑priority meeting rooms and coordinate appropriate responses with IT, facilities, and external providers.
Provides a high‑quality support experience for meeting hosts and participants through clear guidance and timely communication.
Handles confidential and sensitive company information appropriately, in line with corporate policies and standards.
Collaborates effectively with colleagues across time zones; English proficiency (written and spoken) is required for documentation and stakeholder communication. Additional languages such as French or Spanish are an advantage.
Skill set
Tech & IT
Advanced knowledge of audio‑visual (AV) integrations and meeting room technologies.
Knowledge of Windows‑based meeting room systems and Android devices.
Understanding of AV signal flow, basic networking concepts, and structured troubleshooting approaches.
Familiarity with meeting room hardware such as digital signal processors (DSPs), cameras, microphones, and room controllers.
Specific knowledge
Experience using Microsoft Pro Portal, Microsoft Teams Admin Center, Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Azure, Zoom, Google Meet, and PowerShell.
Experience deploying and administering Zoom Rooms environments.
Experience working with Q‑SYS Designer and AV system integration.
Hands‑on experience with Logitech conferencing equipment.
Experience diagnosing audio/video latency, echo, and connectivity issues.
