Alteryx is searching for a Sr. Cloud Support Engineer. This position is remote-friendly; however, it is preferred that this position be based in EST.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Support Engineer to join our talented team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing advanced technical support and expertise for our cloud services, ensuring our clients' systems are operating efficiently and securely.

The Senior Cloud Support Engineer will help Alteryx customers by addressing their questions as well as providing guidance associated with the best use of Alteryx software. The Senior CSE is responsible for gaining and maintaining product expertise in addition to training and mentorship for teammates.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical support for our cloud services, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and performance optimization.

  • Collaborate with customers and internal teams to identify and resolve complex technical issues, escalating as needed to ensure timely resolution.

  • Develop and maintain documentation, including support guides, troubleshooting procedures, and best practices for cloud deployment and management.

  • Monitor cloud infrastructure and services, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues to minimize downtime and optimize performance.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of new cloud solutions, working closely with Product and Engineering teams to ensure successful deployment and integration.

  • Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert for junior support engineers, providing guidance and assistance as needed.

  • Consistently maintaining and enhancing team and customer experience by: participating in process and strategic improvements, conducting technical interviews with potential new hires, facilitating the expedient resolution of cases, creating training and enablement content, leading the team as a KCS contributor, and being an overall example to follow.

  • Support customers and colleagues with resolution on escalated cases by offering expertise, partnership, customer de-escalation as well as facilitating internal resources as needed.

  • May be required to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with customers and internal stakeholders.

  • 3-5 years of experience in cloud support or related field, with expertise in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture and services, including compute, storage, networking, and security.

  • Hands-on experience with following Linux environments: Ubuntu, RedHat, or CentOS.

  • Solid knowledge of REST APIs and debugging web-applications.

  • At least 2 years of experience with the following scripting languages: Python, BASH, or Linux Shell Scripting.

Valued Skills:

  • Cloud Certifications such as AWS Practitioner, Azure Fundamentals

  • Work experience with Spark, EMR, or Dataflow, Hadoop.

  • Experience with or exposure to Kubernetes and Docker.

  • Hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as: Jenkins, GitHub, Datadog, Elasticsearch, Terraform etc.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 

The salary range for this role in California, Colorado, Washington, Rhode Island, and New York is $86,800- $105,400.

In addition, you may be eligible for additional compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
