Senior Analytics Engineer (Data Analyst Focus)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Analytics Engineer with a strong data analysis background to join our Analytics Development team. In this role, you will focus on analyzing complex datasets, creating actionable insights, and developing robust data models and visualizations using Alteryx Designer, Server, Analytics Cloud and Tableau. You will work closely with business stakeholders to provide data-driven recommendations and help foster a culture of informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis:
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Conduct exploratory data analysis (EDA) to understand data sources and business requirements.
• Visualization Development:
  • Design, develop, and maintain dynamic Tableau dashboards that provide clear insights.
  • Ensure visualizations are user-friendly, scalable, and aligned with business needs.
• Alteryx Workflow Development:
  • Build and maintain Alteryx workflows to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Streamline data preparation and ensure data quality and consistency.
• Stakeholder Collaboration:
  • Partner with Global Data & Analytics (D&A) teams to align data strategies and architecture.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with business units to gather and document requirements using standardized formats such as an A3 or more elaborate Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Data Integration and Reporting:
  • Integrate data from multiple sources for a cohesive view of business performance.
  • Create and distribute regular and ad hoc reports to key stakeholders.
• Data Quality and Governance:
  • Implement best practices for data validation, cleansing, and governance.
  • Ensure data accuracy and compliance with organizational policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or a related field.

• 8+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or analytics roles.

• Willing to work in a 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM shift.

• Proficiency with Tableau for developing advanced dashboards and visualizations.

• Strong expertise in Alteryx Designer for workflow automation and data preparation.

• Advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming data.

• Experience with cloud data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, AWS, Azure).

• Familiarity with programming languages like Python or R.

• Strong communication and storytelling skills to present findings to stakeholders.

• Certification in Alteryx and/or Tableau.

• Analytical and problem-solving mindset.

• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
