RAN and Transport engineers for Network optimization

Job Description

Mandatory:

Experience in RAN (Radio Access Network) or Transmission configuration in live telecommunication networks.
Troubleshooting and KPI analysis for base stations and/or transmission network elements.
Knowledge of Nokia and/or Huawei technology (RAN).
English proficiency at B2 level.
Optional:

Knowledge of Telefonica tools (Netact, UTS, U2020/MAE).

Qualifications

 TRM - Transmission

1. Precheck of the tickets provided by the customer
2. Check for other activities that need to be done in parallel
3. Precheck the transmission configuration inside of the customer network and evaluate what is required for the activity
4. Plan the work for a date at least two days in the future (potentially with technician field support for patches)
5. Schedule together with RAN (Access) colleagues as support (Team schedule available)
6. Document inside the customer ticket system
7. Successfully implement the new configuration together with RAN
8. Make sure, the basestation is running according to plan and has no alarms

RAN - Access

1. Use the above mentioned team schedule to check for planned activities
2. Prepare the necessary configuration files for the basestations
3. Precheck the doability of the activities
4. Work together with Transmission colleague to successfully implement the new configuration (potentially with field technician as third party)
5. Troubleshooting of potential errors until the basestation is running as planned and has no alarms left (Only then, the work counts as done)

Additional Information

The ideal candidate should have a Bac+5 in Networks and Telecommunications and mandatory experience of 3 to 5 years.
