Staff Engineer I - Signal and Power Integrity

As an Alphawave Semi Signal and Power integrity engineer, you are responsible for providing technical SI/PI support to customers using our IPs . In this role, you will provide responses in supporting the customer's integration in pre silicon stage. In addition, you will regularly engage with internal R&D team to satisfy the customer's application and constantly improve the customer's experience.

What You'll Do

• You will provide post-sales Signal and Power integrity support to customers worldwide for Ethernet ,PCIe, UCIe and other SerDes Ips
• Assisting to resolve complex Signal and Power integrity issues as part of SerDes IP integration
• Conducting and/or reviewing SI/PI simulations
• Reviewing customer PCB/PKG designs and provide improvement guidance
• Sign off SI and PI collateral (CPMs ,IBIS-AMI, Etc..)
• Work closely with R&D and provide updates to PM/AEs

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's in computer science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
• 7+ years of SI/ PI experience
• PCB and PKG design, advanced technologies, materials and manufacturing techniques.
• System simulations with IBIS-AMI /Hspice
• PDN planning/design/simulation
• Knowledge of EDA tools and a strong understanding of simulators and 2.5D/3D solvers (HFSS, Keysight ADS, MATLAB, SiWave, etc.)
• Familiarity with SerDes architectures and process technology

It'd Be Amazing If You Had

• Experience working with lab equipment such as high speed oscilloscopes, TDR/VNA
• Experience with Jira, Agile/Scrum, Confluence
• Masters/PhD in Computer Science or Electrical/Computer Engineering or Engineering Science
