About the role:

  • As a Senior Software Engineer at Alluxio, you will be responsible for leading and evolving the state-of-the-art Alluxio project. The work would involve designing and implementing a management platform and user interface for the Alluxio scaling system which might be deployed on thousands of nodes. Your scope includes both server side and UI parts.It provides a high availability and user friendly solution to manage Alluxio.  

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Alluxio management platform and user interface, keep improving user experience and performance.
  • Work with the PM team to understand the business requirement, design proper solutions based on the requirement and implement the work with efficiency. 
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of standard quality best practices, keep improving code quality by leveraging automation.  
  • Keen on new industry technologies and trends.Keep evolving new design and new plan, help team to improve skills and move to new technology on proper time.  

Requirement:

  • BS or Master degree degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in frontend development, familiarity with popular frontend tech stack, plenty experience with Typescript and React ecosystem like MaterialUI, React Query, Redux, zustand, etc. 
  • Familiarity with Go programming languages, experience with HTML and CSS, 
  • Proven experience with developing enterprise software management platform or cloud product management platform, familiarity with microservice.
  • Interest and ability to learn other coding languages as needed.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and iterative programming environment.
  • Strong technical and conversational English language skills to be able to work with global teams and customers

Desirable Requirements

  • Familiarity with distributed file systems or distributed storage systems. 
  • Experience contributing to and/or maintaining an open source project.
  • Familiarity with cloud providers (ex. AWS, GCP, Azure) 
  • Contributed or contributing to Alluxio.
