Describe the role:

Job Title: AVP - Investments Research Data & Analytics

Group Description:

Investments Research Data & Analytics team is known for developing cutting edge solutions by keeping quantitative and systematic approach at the center.

Specific Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of analysts and act as a point of contact for the pod for swift request resolutions from the portfolio management teams and / or SMEs

• Collaborate with the Portfolio Solutions Technology team to ensure (statistical) data quality controls for quantitative research.

• Innovate and implement alternative methods for data transformation and cleansing for various data sources.

• Timely production, validation, investigations and correction of periodic and ad-hoc risk and performance attribution reporting

• Correlate data, identify exceptions, and construct refined datasets for research and investment processes.

• Develop and enhance quantitative data quality frameworks using statistical programming

• Develop python solutions to analyze the correlation between model inputs and outputs to measure the quality of its signals.

• Develop and optimize SQL queries, including performance tuning.

• Create and optimize the Bloomberg PORT reports for thorough analysis, better portfolio picturization and capturing the anomalies.

• Develop new test cases to perform quality control based on various investment and risk parameters, enhancing the robustness of existing frameworks.

Qualifications, Experience, Education:

• 7+ years of experience in Investment / Risk Management domain with at least 2 years of managing / mentoring the high performing teams (Techo-functional team leaders are welcome).

• In-depth understanding of Financial Theory, Portfolio Management Concepts, Market Risk measures and various financial instruments (vanilla and exotics).

• Proven ability to lead the team of analysts and mentor them for timely execution of the tasks and prioritize the critical deliverables

• Solid hands-on experience with Bloomberg PORT ecosystem (or any equivalent widely used analytics platforms at large scale asset managers) and the terminal with the ability to design new analytics, reports and batches as well as setting up the modelling terms and conditions of the securities

• Intermediate level development skills in Python and SQL; however, a good grasp of data modelling and data dependencies of investments, portfolio and security level data

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate business problem statements and developed solutions.

• Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Demonstrated ability and willingness to quickly learn new technologies and platforms. Any prior experience with agentic AI development would be a strong plus

• Proactive attitude with the ability to take initiative with minimal supervision.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative discipline like Engineering. Science, Statistics / Mathematics, Econometrics etc.

• Any progress towards CFA / FRM / CQF is highly valued

Special Knowledge (if applicable):

The ideal candidate will have good team management experience and excellent understanding of investment management domain with hands-on python and SQL skills; ability parse complex problem statements and exposure to investment / risk management domain.
