Summer Intern - Software Engineer

Typically a full time student attending a university who works part time during the school year and full time during the summer in their chosen field, or a full time student that takes a semester off from school to work full time in their chosen field, including Manufacturing, Engineering, IT, Environmental Health and Safety, Accounting, etc.

What You Will Do:  

• Network with leaders and others to seek mentorship and insights in the field
• Participate in development discussions and implement solutions on real projects 
• Work with a team to produce well-rounded solutions 
• Obtain the experience to create a foundation for growth and future opportunities with Allegion
   

What You Need to Succeed:  

• Pursuing a degree in a relevant discipline, e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering. 
• Junior and Senior applicants preferred
• Understanding of basic programming techniques 
• Resiliency and ability to adapt quickly. 
• An inquisitive nature that seeks to understand concepts and principles about software and the Allegion business practices 
• Effective listening, time management and creative problem-solving techniques  
• A desire to learn, grow and develop by working on projects that will impact Allegion’s business and customers
• This role is flexible and will allow for remote work opportunity
• Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Indiana or open to relocating to Indiana
