Compliance Manager-Carmel, IN (Hybrid)

Job Summary:

As a Compliance Manager, this person will serve as a key business partner with Allegion’s Americas region and corporate functions by providing professional expertise related to internal control design, assessment, training, testing, and communication.  This role will serve as a key advisor and business partner to ensure overall compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Key responsibilities will include coordinating and providing training, providing guidance and assistance with documentation preparation, reviewing and performing process walk throughs, coordinating internal testing, assisting with tracking and completion of gap remediation, and completing internal project tracking and reporting.  Additionally, the role entails coordination with, and assistance of internal and external audit teams as needed.  This role will also ensure quality, objectivity, operating effectiveness and reliability in Allegion’s internal control and risk assessment processes.

What You Will Do:

• Communicate and ensure performance of all Americas and Corporate compliance actions including annual design assessments and testing.

• Work with individuals and process owners to identify, analyze, and evaluate “key” controls and related testing steps and process flows.

• Evaluate results and report recommendations to management. Provide leadership in initiating improvements.

• Be proactive in the design and documentation of strong internal controls prior to implementation of new processes or systems applications.

• Provide SOX-related consultation and expertise for process owners throughout the Americas region and corporate functions to ensure financial compliance.

• Communicate and implement the Allegion approach for Section 404 compliance.

• Coordinate and oversee periodic internal control testing. Evaluate findings and monitor the cycle of creation of action plans to issue remediation.

• Liaise with internal and external auditors regarding interim and annual audits.

• Monitor open audit issues and work closely with process owners to remediate all issues.

• Work with new acquisitions to complete compliance integrations and project manage any compliance gaps to completion.

• Engage with and support key stakeholders – VP Finance Americas, VP Audit Services, Legal, Corporate Controller, External Reporting.

• Prepare monthly reports for senior management.

• Assist with continued design and enhancements of compliance management system.

What You Need to Succeed:

• BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting.

• 5-10 years general accounting and financial reporting experience.

• Relevant experience demonstrating an aptitude for analyzing systems, processes and operational procedures.

• Strong understanding of auditing procedures and information technology general computer control concepts.

• Strong financial systems experience.

• Knowledge of US GAAP.

• Project management experience with the ability to work independently on special projects and complex assignments.

• Strong verbal and documentation skills required. SOX documentation and testing experience is a definite plus.

• Proficient in MS digital tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI.

• Percentage travel <25%.
