Role Overview
We are seeking a Data Engineer to lead the development and optimization of our data architecture. This crucial role involves building and maintaining scalable data pipelines. We are looking for a detail-oriented, hands-on individual who can manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Role & Responsibilities
  • Design and implement robust data pipelines to extract data from various distributed systems, including production databases, analytics tools, and data warehousing solutions.
  • Automate and streamline existing data collection processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Categorize and segment data effectively to support targeted analysis and derive meaningful insights.
  • Conduct complex data analyses and develop classifiers using Python, applying statistical methods and machine learning algorithms as needed.
  • Develop and maintain detailed dashboards and reporting systems to monitor key metrics and communicate insights to stakeholders across the company.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering teams to ensure comprehensive data capture and integration into our systems for ongoing analytics needs.
Skills Required
  • Highly proficient in SQL and Python, familiarity with R is a plus.
  • Strong foundation in statistical analysis, especially with applications in data science.
  • Experience in building and deploying machine learning models.
  • In-depth knowledge of database management and architecture, with experience in both SQL and NoSQL platforms.
  • Data wrangling + ETL; be able to transform and aggregate raw data into quality, usable databases for analyses and model-building.
  • Proficient in using Postgres, AWS technologies like DynamoDB, Athena and Redshift
  • Experience in using Apache Airflow 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
  • At least 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering or a related role.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
