Role overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Backend Java Developer with strong experience in designing, developing and maintaining enterprise-grade applications using Java and Microservices architecture. The ideal candidate should have hands-on expertise in Kubernetes deployments, REST APIs, Spring Boot and Microsoft SQL Server with extensive experience in writing and optimizing stored procedures.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build and enhance RESTful APIs following Microservices architecture principles.
- Design loosely coupled, resilient and highly available microservices.
- Deploy, manage and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes clusters.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to automate CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
- Develop and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases, including complex Stored Procedures, Functions, Views and Triggers.
- Analyze and improve SQL query performance and database indexing strategies.
- Integrate applications with third-party systems and internal enterprise services.
- Write clean, maintainable and testable code following coding standards and best practices.
- Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers.
- Participate in architecture discussions, sprint planning and production support activities.
- Troubleshoot production issues and provide timely resolutions.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Good to have skills:
- Event-driven architecture.
- Distributed caching (Redis).
- ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- OAuth2, JWT and API security.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and Event Sourcing is an added advantage.
