So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.We are looking for Project System Engineer to our Qingdao Marine site of Business Unit Heat & Gas systems (BU HGS). As a Project System Engineer, you are working in our Engineering & Supply (E&S) organization, and you are part of System Engineering team. You are working in order execution of capital sales projects in marine business. You are working with systems related to boilers, burners, gas combustion units and exhaust gas cleaning products. As our new Project System Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering products and solutions for assigned projects according to established standards and procedures. You will maintain and develop high-level process technology expertise, ensuring technical clarification of new orders prior to initiation, in collaboration with Project Execution functions. You are reporting locally to E&S Site Manager, and you have operational dotted line to System Engineering Manager. You are closely working internally with Project Managers, Site Support & Commissioning team, Project engineering, Sales Companies forming Northeast Asia region. Externally you are working with shipyards and ship owners within Northeast Asia, classification agencies.

To succeed in this position, you have engineer background and experience from marine engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical background. You have good organizing, co-ordination and communication skills. You are cooperative and able to communicate in fluent English.

• Your educational background (M.Sc./B.Sc.) from marine engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable technical background.
• You have a least 2 – 4 years of experience working with industrial, marine equipment or engineered systems.
• You have a basic understanding of process equipment such as pumps, instruments, and control systems.
• Good English skill both oral and written
• Your motivation is driven by delivering good internal/external customer service within the field of expertise and by ensuring Alfa Laval´s long-term profitability.

About the job:

Your responsibilities

• Overall technical responsibility within defined boundaries in multidisciplinary project teams, including system, mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
• Preparing approval documents and creating detailed working documents for design purposes.
• Support Project Management and Order Engineering by responding to requests such as approval comments, customer technical comments, and class technical comments, and by analysing proposed changes and deviations from customers.
• Implementing and coordinating technical changes in orders initiated by the Project Manager and customers.
• Accountable for timely follow-up and delivery of all engineering deliverables throughout the entire project.
• Preparing built documents to hand over to service.
