Position Description:

The Enterprise Digital Platform Security team is responsible for strategic direction, alignment of security controls, processes, and enabling systems related to Alcon’s digital platforms. The Alcon team is looking for a talented and motivated intern to join us onsite for next summer at the Fort Worth, TX location.

Key Responsibilities:

·         Assist in the implementation and management of cloud security solutions.

·         Monitor and analyze security alerts and incidents in cloud environments.

·         Support the development and enforcement of security policies and procedures.

·         Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure cloud architecture.

·         Participate in security audits and compliance checks.

·         Research and stay updated on the latest cloud security trends and threats.

·         Utilize AI and machine learning techniques to enhance security measures and threat detection.

·         Develop and implement security controls for AI-enabled solutions.

Minimum Qualifications:

·         Must be enrolled in an accredited university or college for at least one semester prior to internship or co-op, and at least one additional semester following internship or co-op.

·         Must be pursuing at least a bachelor’s level degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Cloud Security or related major.

·         Academic performance: Minimum cumulative GPA 2.8/4.0

·         Demonstrated leadership skills (i.e. extracurricular activities or projects)

·         Must be authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without requiring sponsorship (students on an F1 visa with CPT can be accommodated)

·         Ability to commit to a full time (40 hrs. per week) Intern position.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Basic understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

·         Familiarity with security concepts and technologies (e.g., firewalls, encryption, IAM).

·         Knowledge of AI and machine learning principles and applications.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

·         Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

·         Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

·         Relevant certifications (AWS Certified Security, AI-related certifications) are a plus.
