Summary of Position:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer to join our Digital Health Foundational Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in DevOps practices, cloud infrastructure management, and automation, with a proven track record of designing, implementing, and maintaining robust CI/CD pipelines and cloud solutions. Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with healthcare-specific certifications and compliance standards, is highly desirable. As a Senior DevOps and Cloud Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving our cloud strategy, improving deployment efficiency, and ensuring the reliability and scalability of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud environments on AWS platforms.
  • CI/CD Pipeline Development: Build and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to streamline and automate the software delivery process.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications and infrastructure.
  • Security and Compliance: Ensure cloud environments and DevOps processes adhere to industry best practices for security and compliance, including healthcare-specific standards such as HIPAA, HITECH, and SOC 2. Implement automated security checks and vulnerability assessments.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development, QA, Product and other Digital Health teams to integrate DevOps practices throughout the software development lifecycle. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Performance Optimization: Analyze system performance and identify areas for improvement. Implement solutions to optimize application performance and reduce costs.
  • Incident Response: Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis efforts during production incidents. Develop and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for infrastructure, processes, and procedures.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience: 7+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or related roles.
  • Cloud Platforms: Extensive experience with AWS cloud platforms including core services, networking, and security.
  • CI/CD Tools: Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
  • Scripting and Automation: Strong scripting skills in languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell. Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, or Ansible.
  • Containerization: Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Monitoring and Logging: Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack.
  • Security: Strong understanding of cloud security best practices and experience with implementing security controls in a cloud environment. Familiarity with healthcare-specific security and privacy requirements, such as HIPAA and HITECH.
  • Healthcare Certifications:
    • Certified HIPAA Professional (CHP)
    • Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC)
    • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Healthcare
  • Collaboration: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a strong ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications: Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator) are a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Agile/Scrum Experience: Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Database Management: Knowledge of database management in cloud environments, including both SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Serverless Architecture: Experience with serverless computing frameworks and technologies.
  • Cost Optimization: Experience with cloud cost management and optimization strategies.

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
