We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As a Sr. Associate I, Field Technical Service Engineering - GEM Latin America supporting the Technical Services- Surgical Franchise, a typical day will include:

  • Providing technical advice to customers including commissioning, installing, and testing of products/equipment.

  • Identifying and correcting more complex problems associated with start-up

  • Researching, evaluating, and recommending new products or equipment upgrades that will meet customer needs

  • Developing on-going relationships with customers to secure future business

  • Resolve/troubleshoot implementation problems and/or train customers on the features of the equipment they have purchased

  • Responsible for the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of Alcon surgical equipment.

  • Provide technical support to the Marketing and Sales teams, ensuring customers understand and effectively use our products. Negotiate and close service contracts, exceeding sales targets.

As Market Champion:

  • Listening to the distributor and market voice: regarding initiatives, opportunities, and specific needs, among others.

  • Serving as the point of contact: for the distributor's Field Service Engineers (FSEs) for technical escalation.

  • Maintaining the installed base: in conjunction with the distributor and FSOS (Data Integrity).

  • Following up on renewals: and seeking new Service Contract opportunities together with the distributor.

  • Tracking and documenting Work Orders: for installations, warranties, retrofits, preventive and corrective maintenance by Alcon or Distributor FSEs (ServiceMax).

  • Planning with parts and resources: for the correct execution of installations, retrofits, preventive and corrective services (in and out of warranty).

  • Tool control: together with the FSOS for countries with Distributor Service Providers.

  • 100% compliance: in the execution of retrofits within the territory.

  • Tracking shipment and return of parts.

  • Compliance with SOPs.

  • Preparation of quotations: requested by distributors.
