Senior Principal, Software Engineering – Digital Health

• Designs the overall technological architecture of the product (i.e., front to back tech stack) with the help of product teams, business stakeholders, SMEs, and technical leaders​

• Develop proof-of-concept solutions, architectural diagrams, and specifications in response to business needs​

• Guides product teams on technology strategy related to tech stack coding standards​

• Write technical documentation and effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals, and ideas​

• Works with the Product Manager to align the roadmap with the tradeoffs of the product technical stack and share responsibility for building reusable and scalable components​

• Mentors and coaches, the Tech Leads / Developers around best practices for the product tech stack​

• Looks to continuously improve the product tech stack and solve its engineering limitations​

• Participate in design and sprint reviews to identify and remove technical impediments​

• Design complex network and database systems that support a daily IT functions and activities​

• Periodically audit existing systems infrastructure and architecture to ensure an accurate, high-level understanding of present capabilities​

• Architect cloud infrastructure and services to flexibly support the business (elastic scaling)​

• Report to leadership and key stakeholders regarding your findings, making recommendations and providing clear roadmaps for successful changes​

• Collaborate with other IT professionals and software engineers to develop systems solutions capable of supporting our goals​

• Oversee teams that implement changes in physical hardware and software, ensuring seamless integration of new technologies

Tech/ Domain:

Total experience of 14+ Years in

Extensive Knowledge of CMS, Drupal, Acquia systems (ACSF, Acquia Cloud and Site Studio), and their interconnections with other SAAS tools with the ability to connect the business value they provide.

Knowledge of common enterprise software (e.g., Microsoft Active Director, GitHub, Browser Stack) and systems (e.g., private corporate networks) including cloud-native environments and services (e.g., Kubernetes clusters, AWS VPC, etc.)

Comfortable working in SaaS and cloud native environments, and has a deep understanding of cloud computing and technologies/platforms (AWS) and Web Technology and Content Management Platforms ( CMS) 

Familiar with entire Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile Development, DevOps (e.g., CI/CD processes), and Scrum

Craft:

Ability to translate complex business requirements into technical design decisions

Ability to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions

Experienced with modern web applications, including developing responsive single page applications

Proficient in designing technical architecture for complex solutions and guiding teams to implement

Ability to make architecture design decisions at a team, product, and ecosystem level

Experience with computer programming, systems architecture, and information technology

Experienced with architecting and deploying systems which provide “guardrails” for agile software development (e.g., approachable but secure and reliable cloud private networks)

Expert knowledge of multiple programming languages and runtime environments
