As a Manager, Market Research and Insights supporting the Vision Care OTC Marketing team, you will be trusted to work on gathering, analyzing, and interpreting marketplace trends and customer data as input to marketing and product development strategies/plans for individual consumers, business customers, and/or retail channels at Fort Worth, TX office.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Monitoring market conditions, trends, competitors, etc. to project business sector/consumer demand and inform product launch timing Researching competitor behavior including marketing strategies, pricing, sales and methods of operation
• Identifying purchasing behaviors, price/discount sensitivity, brand loyalty, etc. across customer segments and sales channels
• Simulating the impact of proposed marketing campaigns and measuring results against targets
• Analyze multiple data sources (sales data, brand trackers, etc.) in support of OTC initiatives
• Partner with IT, Commercial Ops, Data Science to build, maintain and report key insights from OTC data lake
• Become expert-level user of POS data supplier’s portal, eventually becoming a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and trainer of other marketers on how to become proficient in the portal
• Collaborate with cross functional teams to align on and communicate KPI’s
• Identify ways to improve process, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
• Support monthly forecasting activity (B3) for various businesses
• Build monthly review decks to help leadership understand market trends and latest outlook
• Track monthly actuals versus established targets
• Maintain and optimize reporting on existing marketing initiatives
• Support primary research initiatives and analysis of annual Brand Health trackers and Marketing Mix Model across OTC brands
• Develop deep dive analytics capabilities for Consumer Panel surveys and other research initiatives

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +13 yrs., Assoc.+9 yrs.; M.S.+2 yrs.; PhD+0 yrs.) 
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• 5 Years of Relevant Experience

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Preferred experience with Tableau (or other dashboarding tool)
• Preferred Experience with secondary data sources (Circana, Profitero, Luminate, 8451, etc.) including market consumption, consumer panel and e-Commerce; ability to pull and interpret data
• Experience with Marketing Mix Models and POS (Circana/IRI, Nielsen) data is a plus
