As a Web Developer supporting Franchise Technology Team, you will be trusted to design, develop, test, and deploy custom web applications while collaborating with technical and cross-functional teams at Mexico City (Hybrid).

IN THIS ROLE, A TYPICAL DAY WILL INCLUDE:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom web applications.
• Lead migration and maintenance of existing web applications.
• Recommend improvement areas to enhance and minimize risks to current infrastructure and technology.
• Translate business requirements into clear actionable development tasks.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to identify areas of synergy across franchises.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to existing web applications.
• Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to sprint planning.
• Work with technical teams to ensure code quality and architectural standards are met and upheld.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Knowledge of development and scripting languages such as Java, HTML, and JavaScript is essential.
• Experience in web development frameworks such as Angular and React is essential.
• Experience with service APIs (microservices, RESTful services, web services) is preferred.
• Experience with back-end development (i.e., Flask, Express, Ruby) is beneficial.
• Understanding of the Software Development Cycle.
• Familiarity with Mulesoft is a plus.
• Familiarity with Tableau is a plus.
