Our team is part of the Security organization, responsible for developing products and platforms focused on security. Our Bot & Agent Control product is designed to provide top-tier cloud computing security, prevent data theft and mitigate large account takeover attempts. We build unique technology to handle petabytes of data and conduct billions of secure transactions daily

As part of a Bot & Agent Control Engineering team, you will focus on building highly usable, reliable, and scalable software solutions for bot threat detection, protection and control features. Allowing our customers to better manage bot traffic and help improve the internet for millions of people.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Working on projects that improve our bot detection products making Akamai a leader in bot detection
• Implementing new features from scratch. Enhancing existing features and optimize existing functionality, from conception and design through testing and deployment.
• Working with our level 3 support to troubleshooting complex problems or any customer issues.Working on data analysis for web and mobile platforms
• Working on making improvements to client side components like Javascript on need basis

Do what you love

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have 8+ years of overall SW development experience and relevant degree in Computer Science
• Have 5+ years of experience with Javascript and Java/Python for web development and web API development
• Have a good understanding of data formats such as JSON, XML.
• Have work experience or understanding with Machine learning or Data science
• Be able to design with best possible architectures and write clean well-structured code
