Manufacturing Engineering Business Information Manager – Digital Work Order Management

A vacancy for an Business Analyst has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space in San Pablo (Sevilla)/Getafe (Madrid). The successful candidate will join TDBOE1, Digital Manufacturing Engineering, and will be in charge of the Product Manager, Service Owner and Project Manageme​nt on Manufacturing Work Order preparation and exploitation systems related manufacturing engineering solutions . In addition, the candidate will be in charge of future tool enhancements and deployment projects.

Your main tasks and responsibilities will include:

• Develop a solid understanding of Airbus Defence and Space business processes in the domain of Manufacturing Engineering Teams.

• Be the focal point for manufacturing and production needs aligned with Airbus’ digital transformation strategy.

• Responsibility for the service (cost control, supplier management and enhancements) of digital work order preparation systems.

• Manage the service according to agreed service levels.

• Project management for enhancement and improvement projects in the scope of manufacturing engineering solutions and digital industry new capabilities.

• Delivery of the digitalization projects on time, on quality and cost.

• Support of all phases of product life cycle – analysis, design, development/coding, test, integration and operation of IT systems and solutions.

• Analysis and clarification of business requirements towards IT systems and solutions.

• Identification, definition and proposal of necessary future business process adaptations.

• Detailed technical specification for must-have customization of the future IT system.

• Support of change management at all relevant levels to prepare the roll-out of the future IT system

• Act as an ambassador for the product internally and externally and as the primary contact for queries related to the product.

• Increase an understanding of agile practices, new technology opportunities and other new trends.

You should fulfil the following conditions:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Science Engineering, Aeronautics, Industrial Engineering or related discipline.

• Solid understanding of software design principles and architectural patterns.

• Solutioning given list of non-technical requirements.

• Writing technical specs (includes active participation in design meetings) and documentation.

• Ability to work effectively in a team and with clients.

• Capability to understand, influence and evaluate functional and technical system designs.

• Capability to understand and maneuver within a multi-layer system architecture with various interfaces and a high degree of customization and interdependencies to other systems.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both in Spanish and English is a must.

• Stakeholder Management and structured way of working.

• Solid understanding of agile practices as well as new technology opportunities/new trends

• High stress-level resistance in an operational environment.

• Working background in the aerospace industry and experience in Manufacturing Engineering domain is highly valuated.

• Experience in Digital is highly valuated.

• Advanced knowledge of Legacy Manufacturing systems such as DMU4D, 3DAV, SNT or CMS will be highly valued.
