Components Engineer – Manufacturing Engineering Extended Enterprise

Job Description:

A vacancy for a Components Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Sevilla.

The position has been created in order to support successful co-design, industrialization and sustaining for Composite components at the Supplier, through strong leadership and coordination, by ensuring alignment between Airbus and Supplier industrial functions.

The successful applicant will join the Extended Enterprise Manufacturing Engineering Department

Tasks & accountabilities

The candidate shall:

• Guarantee the configuration control and management of subcontracted Composite & Metallic components (new development and series modifications), and ensure industrialization of WPs OTOCOQ.

• Being the technical and industrial reference of components technology for Procurement Organization and participate in the necessary forums (subMFTs, industrialization meetings,...)

• Assess WPs costing and workload estimations, giving support to RFPs

• Focus on continuous improvement of series programs, supporting suppliers to achieve savings in order to accomplish Program objectives.

• Give/coordinate MRB support when needed

• Report status of suppliers engineering issues to the rest of the organization. VoC hearing looking for a high level of satisfaction.

• Ensure that the activities related to supplier are carried out in an ethical way in accordance with the Airbus Code of Ethics.

• Ensure that the outsourced technologies know how is kept inside Airbus D&S through the right procedures, rules, methods, white papers or seminars.

Required skills

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Aeronautical / Industrial Engineering degree or equivalent.

• Tools and methods (SAP, Demat, SNT...)

• Knowledge in Composite or Metallic technology.

• IT programming skills for Google script

• Advanced level in English and Spanish.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Nice to have:

• MRB delegation for ADS programs.
