About Aios Medical

Our overarching mission is to accelerate the mass-market global adoption of consumer biotech products so every human can live at least 100 healthy years.

Our immediate focus is excess bodyweight. We are accelerating the global take-up of GLP-1 medications by increasing their accessibility to help solve obesity worldwide.

To do that, we’re building an AI-powered clinical operating system: ClinicOS. ClinicOS makes it effortless for consumer brands to easily offer direct-to-patient healthcare, globally. We work with external Brand Partners, as well as using this infrastructure to scale our own internal consumer healthcare brands.

Since we launched Fella Health in the US in June 2021, Fella has positioned itself as no-nonsense weight loss for busy bigger guys. Today, we operate multiple brands across the US & UK — our two biggest are Fella Health (US & UK) and Bolt Pharmacy (UK).

Our infrastructure will have served 100 million patients worldwide by 2035. We’ll then use that direct-to-patient infrastructure to serve next-gen biotech products at-scale to increase the proportion of humans living at least 100 healthy years.

In so doing, we’ll become the world’s first trillion dollar healthcare company.

How far along are we?

We’ve grown >1000x since Aug 2021, >200x since Aug 2022, >40x since Aug 2023. We’re serving >40k customers with high NPS. We’re >$50M/yr revenue. We’ve been cashflow positive for >24mo.

Being a Software Engineer at Aios Medical

As a Software Engineer at Aios, your fundamental role is to build the systems that keep our clinics running and make our launches possible.

You’ll be part of a fast-moving engineering team that maintains everything from core infrastructure to customer-facing features. You’ll work closely with product, growth, ops, and clinical teams to make sure we deliver the right solutions at speed.

Great performance in this role means our systems scale smoothly across new markets, patients get care faster and with less friction, and the team has the capacity to keep building toward our mission.

This is a full-time, fully remote role. Our entire engineering team is based in Kosovo, and we’re only hiring in Kosovo for this role — so timezone won’t be a problem and you’ll always have a team close by (though we don’t have a physical office). You’ll work async, with overlap until midday Pacific Time for calls as needed.

You’ll report directly to our Head of Engineering (Gzim Helshani).

You’ll also work most closely with: Richie (CEO) & the whole eng team.

We’re hiring 5 software engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build & Maintain: Design, develop, and maintain core software applications and systems that our teams rely on daily.

  • Unblock Launches: Contribute to product features that directly enable our upcoming market launches.

  • Compliance & Personalization: Support critical compliance and personalization work so we keep moving.

  • Scale Infrastructure: Own and scale parts of our infrastructure that make new market launches possible.

  • Architecture & Design: Contribute to technical design and architecture discussions to ensure our systems scale globally.

  • Patient Efficiency: Deliver features that reduce average patient care time from ~40 minutes toward zero.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Write and maintain technical documentation so knowledge compounds across the team.

  • Code Quality: Perform code reviews and uphold engineering standards to keep quality high as we grow.

Need to have

  • Experience: 3+ years of software engineering experience.

  • Frontend: shipped high-quality web and/or mobile apps (React, React Native).

  • Backend: deep experience shipping modern GraphQL or REST api’s. Comfortable with system design, databases, background processing and cloud deployments.

  • Independence: Ability to work independently in a distributed, async-first environment.

  • Location: Based in Kosovo 🇽🇰

Nice to have

  • Frontend: Typescript, React, Next.js.

  • Mobile: React native experience.

  • Backend: Nest.js, PostgreSQL, BullMQ, Redis, CI/CD, AWS.

  • LLM experience: Experiencing building tools/apps on top of LLM apps.

  • Modern design: Design systems, customer interviews, comfortable navigating Figma .

  • Logging & Analytics: Performance monitoring, web/mobile metrics, user pattern usage, sentry, A/B testing.

  • No-code Tools: Webflow, Zapier.

  • Background: CS degree, open source contributions.
