What is the Role?
The Engineering team at AiDash is dedicated to developing world-class, end-to-end products that contribute to a cleaner, greener, and safer world.
As the Head of Engineering (IVMS) at AiDash, you will oversee our key revenue-generating, flagship product: Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS). In this role, you will lead our highly talented and motivated engineering team through our next phase of growth. Reporting directly to the VP of Engineering, you will be responsible for driving the engineering vision, architecture, and execution that supports our long-term product roadmap. This role requires a blend of deep technical expertise, hands-on leadership skills, and a deep understanding of scalable software architectures in high-growth, agile environments.
What will you do?
- Build, lead, and developa high-performing team of software engineersresponsible for product development ofour flagship Intelligent Vegetation Management System (IVMS) product
- Drive the development and maintenance of the system’s long-term architecture in alignment with business objectives and industry best practices
- Build the long-term technical roadmap, oversee design reviews, and champion continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a culture of innovation and process optimization
- Design and implement processes to achieve engineering and operational excellence, including production monitoring, incident management, and root cause analysis (RCA)
- Establish and enforce SLAs for incident resolution, ensuring timely closure and the prevention of future incidents
What are we looking for?
- 13-15+ years of experience in B2B SaaS organizations, leading full-stack or backend teams in high-growth, fast-paced environments, with 2+ years managing managers
- Experience in building, coaching, and developing high-performing teams; setting clear, measurable goals aligned with company objectives; and implementing robust performance management practices
- Proven track record of building scalable system architectures, conducting design reviews, and hands-on experience with modern development frameworks and tools in scalable setups
- Hands-on experience with Java backend stack
- Experience in leading teams in React, iOS, and Android frontend stacks
- Deep knowledge of cloud infrastructure, microservices, and DevOps practices
- First principles thinker with high ownership, humility, and strong ability to influence decisions through data-driven insights
- Position Location: This position is available in San Jose, CA. We operate as a hybrid company, with twice a week in-office days in our San Jose, CA office location.
