Summary
The Program Manager (PM) position within Facilities Operations is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing key programs that support Facilities Operations across all AV locations. The PM will have primary ownership of multiple programs including real estate database, lease administration, fleet operations, workplace utilization, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) reporting, intranet site content and design, and the workplace reservation system. The PM will partner closely with Facilities leadership, P&C, DBT, Security, Finance, and business unit key stakeholders to ensure AV’s workplaces and operations support programs are operating efficiently, producing the information to support data‑driven business decisions, ensuring compliance and alignment with company culture and sustainability goals.
Position Responsibilities
Program Management & Governance
- Develop, implement, and maintain program frameworks, processes, and standards for core Facilities programs (lease administration, fleet operations, workplace utilization, CSR, workplace reservation systems, SharePoint).
- Create and manage program roadmaps, timelines, risks, and communication plans; ensure alignment with Facilities and corporate strategy.
- Establish and track KPIs/OKRs for each program, reporting progress and recommendations to the Associate Vice President, Facilities Operation and other stakeholders.
- Establish strong working relationships with site Facilities teams, P&C, DBT, Security, and business units to understand needs and ensure program effectiveness.
Real Estate Portfolio Database Management
- Works closely with Facilities leadership and AV’s third-party real estate service provider to ensure the database containing facility lease information is maintained and accurately reflects real time conditions.
- Expected to establish processes and programs that allow for continual modifications to report content/output that support the business’ ability to make data-driven decisions relative to facilities.
Lease Administration Program
- Provide strategic oversight of the lease administration process, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with financial accounting reporting in support of , and timely execution of lease obligations.
- Coordinate with Facilities, Legal, and Finance on lease terms, renewals, termination options, financial obligations, and critical action dates.
- Oversee lease data integrity in relevant systems and support portfolio reporting and decision‑making.
Workplace Utilization & Metrics Reporting
- Lead the development and ongoing management of workplace utilization and occupancy metrics across AV’s global portfolio.
- Design and maintain dashboards and recurring reports that synthesize data from multiple sources (e.g., badge access, reservation system, space inventories).
- Analyze trends in space utilization, headcount growth, and workplace patterns to support space planning and real estate decisions.
- Provide data‑driven recommendations to optimize workplace layouts, capacity, and service levels.
Workplace Reservation System Management
- Serve as the business owner for AV’s workplace reservation system (e.g., for desks, meeting rooms, collaboration spaces).
- Define business requirements, policies, and configuration standards in partnership with DBT and local Facilities teams.
- Work closely with Facilities leadership to promote system adoption, user training content, and ongoing support/training for employees.
- Monitor utilization and system performance; drive enhancements, issue resolution, and change requests.
- Develop reporting capabilities that provide meaningful metrics for business unit leaders to make data-driven decisions regarding facilities.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Reporting
- The Legal department has primary ownership for submitting the annual CSR report. The PM acts as lead representative for the Facilities organization in its role coordinating preparation, data collection, development, and submission of the annual CSR report.
- Manage facilities‑related social corporate responsibility (CSR) initiatives, including environmental sustainability, resource efficiency, and community engagement efforts tied to facilities operations.
- Coordinate cross‑functional CSR projects with EHS, P&C, and Communications, ensuring alignment with AV’s corporate responsibility strategy.
- Track and coordinate reporting on program performance (e.g., energy savings, waste reduction, community impact) to internal stakeholders and for external reporting as needed.
Facilities SharePoint Site Management
- Own the structure, content strategy, and governance of the Facilities SharePoint site.
- Work closely with Facilities leadership to ensure information provided on the SharePoint site (portfolio metrics, policies, procedures, service guides, request forms, FAQs) is accurate, up‑to‑date, meaningful, and easy for employees to find and use.
- Establish content lifecycle management processes, including reviews, updates, and archival.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Facilities Management, Project/Program Management, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in facilities management, corporate real estate, workplace operations, data analytics, or related program management roles.
- Demonstrated experience managing cross‑functional programs or projects involving multiple stakeholders and locations.
- Proven ability to develop, track, and communicate metrics and KPIs, including dashboard/report creation.
- Strong analytical skills with experience working with data from multiple systems and tools (e.g., Excel, BI/reporting tools).
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information clearly to diverse audiences.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives and deadlines.
- Ability to travel as needed all domestic and international AV locations.
- US citizenship is a requirement.
Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies
- Experience in a multi‑site, technical, engineering, aerospace/defense, or manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with lease administration processes and basic lease/real estate terminology.
- Experience managing or contributing to sustainability or CSR initiatives related to facilities or operations.
- Knowledge of workplace strategy concepts and space planning principles (e.g., hybrid work, activity‑based working).
- Experience designing and maintaining SharePoint sites, including governance and user experience best practices.
- Exposure to workplace reservation or booking platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and drive alignment among diverse stakeholders.
- Customer‑focused, collaborative, and adaptable; comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.
Physical Demands

- Required to sit and stand for long periods; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard (Frequent)
Clearance Level
The salary range for this role is:
$116,500 - $177,500AeroVironment considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the location, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
ITAR Requirement:
This position requires access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). In order to comply with the requirements of the ITAR and/or the EAR, applicants must qualify as a U.S. person under the ITAR and the EAR, or a person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction. Please understand that any job offer that requires approval of an export license will be conditional on AeroVironment’s determination that it will be able to obtain an export license in a time frame consistent with AeroVironment’s business requirements.
