Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Resident Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of construction projects from inception to completion
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering and technical staff
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards
• Analyze and resolve complex engineering problems that arise during construction
• Prepare and review project documentation, including reports, change orders, and technical submittals
• Implement and maintain quality control and safety procedures on-site
• Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources efficiently
• Coordinate with local authorities and ensure compliance with UAE construction standards and regulations
• Identify and mitigate potential risks to project success
• Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the project team

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in construction engineering/management, with 10+ years preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) registration highly desirable
• Valid driver's license
• Proven experience in managing engineering and technical staff
• Strong knowledge of construction management, inspection, and field support techniques
• Familiarity with local and federal funding requirements in the UAE
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery
• Proficiency in construction software and project management tools
• In-depth knowledge of UAE building codes, regulations, and construction standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Innovative mindset with a customer-focused approach to project delivery
• Experience with quality control and safety procedures in construction projects
