Job Description

We’re inviting expressions of interest from candidates interested in joining our Buildings & Places as a Graduate Safety Engineer. With a strong pipeline of projects across a range of sectors, this is a great opportunity to gain practical experience and build your skills alongside experienced fire safety engineers.

How you’ll make a difference:

• Gain exposure to fire engineering projects across the project lifecycle, from early concept and design through to completion, supporting the development of practical, performance-based fire safety solutions.
• Conduct fire risk assessments, evacuation analysis and smoke control modelling, as well as prepare technical reports and documentation to support design outcomes and approvals.
• Develop your understanding of relevant fire engineering codes, standards, regulations and industry practices, applying your knowledge to real-world projects under the guidance of experienced engineers.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, gaining valuable insight into how fire safety considerations are integrated into the broader design and delivery of buildings.

Qualifications

• Degree: You must be in your final year of, or have completed, a relevant Bachelor’s or postgraduate degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or a related engineering discipline with relevant fire safety coursework or specialisation.
• Working Rights: You must have full working rights to work in Australia. We do accept candidates with student and graduate visas.
