Payment Solution, IPP Mobile

We are hiring a Java Software Engineer for the In-Person Payments team in Amsterdam. This team is part of Adyen's Payment Solution, developing a new chapter of payment solutions like Tap to Pay on iPhone. We believe in the future where payments mean less hardware, flexibility, and mobility during checkout. Our ambition is to build the most customer-focused software so businesses can use any device to take payments anywhere in the world. Have a look at this blog post to find out more! 

Who you are:

• You have experience with Core Java, web services, REST APIs and SQL/PostgreSQL;
• You enjoy working on automation and improvement of internal processes with cross-functional teams
• You are able to define, implement and monitor performance KPIs to quickly identify opportunities for improvement in existing systems
• You like to challenge the status quo and ask the ‘why’ question
• You think about how businesses would consume and benefit from your changes
• You enjoy to work together with Product Designers and Frontend Engineers
• You have a sharp eye for detail, like to work precisely yet pragmatic
• You know how to get things done while reaching out and involving other people to hear different perspectives
• Good to have experience using Gradle, CockroachDB
