Pay Range
$54.90 - $82.35Major Responsibilities:
- Utilizes business intelligence tools to analyze complex data sets and produce visualizations for both internal and external customers.
- Works with business leaders to find and explain the underlying causes of key performance results, and propose appropriate solutions based on an understanding of the business context and objectives.
- Develops and implements statistically sound evaluation methodologies that quantify the clinical and financial effectiveness of EPH initiatives in ways that enable senior leadership to make informed tactical and strategic decisions.
- Develops business and clinical hypotheses.
- Partners with technical teams in AAH’s IT departments to enhance existing business intelligence tools and troubleshoot problems.
- Maintains focus on long term, strategic projects while responding effectively to occasional urgent ad hoc requests from leadership.
- Stays abreast of current trends in healthcare analytics through continuing education opportunities and professional networking.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- None Required.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Health Care Administration, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 7 years of experience in a data analyst role with at least three years in the healthcare industry in either a payer or provider environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of the SAP suite of business intelligence tools and other analytical tools such as PowerBI, SAS, or Strata.
- Understanding of relational database structures and best practices.
- SQL programming skills are a plus.
- Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment with multiple interdependent teams.
- Ability to apply statistical or other mathematical principles and methods to a variety of complex healthcare datasets
- Knowledge or ability to learn the Epic Chronicles data environment.
- Ability to create effective data visualizations for a variety of internal and external audiences. Expertise in crafting info graphics or similarly visually concise visualizations is desired.
- Understanding of complex healthcare reimbursement systems.
- Skills to communicate complex technical concepts in ways that both executives and frontline clinicians can understand.
