Sr. DevOps Engineer, Advisor360, LLC, Weston, Massachusetts (Hybrid) – 2 Openings

Will serve on a Delivery Engineering team responsible for developing several of Advisor360°’s software delivery orchestration platforms. Will work with .Net, Docker, NoSQL, relational databases, and Azure, in an Agile/Scrum environment as a technical lead to build out Advisor360°’s platform. Specific duties and responsibilities include:

  • Planning, architecting, and implementing mid to large-scale event driven software delivery orchestration platform projects within the company’s software platform from conception to completion.
  • Leverage scripting, frameworks, and modern tools to automate the provisioning of cloud infrastructure and security.
  • Collaborate with developers to build robust build and deployment pipelines that includes build, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
  • Works with our engineering teams to develop, implement, optimize, and maintain cloud-based solutions.
  • Validates requirements, performs analysis, design, programming, testing, documentation, and support for assigned projects to drive application changes.
  • Ensures compliance with coding standards and development procedures and suggests opportunities for improvement.
  • Deploying programs and evaluating user feedback from stakeholders.
  • Full zero touch automation of build CI/CD orchestration including monitoring, alerting, failover.
  • Documenting and maintaining software platform and architecture functionality.
  • Utilizing .Net technologies and Docker containers along with Angular to analyze and support client-side frameworks, as well as NoSQL and relational databases, Microsoft® Azure platform.
  • Serving as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle: conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing, documentation, delivery, and maintenance.

Requirements:

  • Position requires either (i) a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Information Science, IT or a closely related field and 5 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer or (ii) a Master’s degree (or an equivalent foreign degree) in Computer Science, Information Science, IT or a closely related field and 3 years of experience as a DevOps Engineer. Must also have 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with either experience requirement above) working with the following:
  • Building and releasing web services and databases via automation pipelines;
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as code utilizing best practices for deploying microservices to Kubernetes;
  • Design and implement infrastructure using Microsoft Azure technology and working with CI/CD systems;
  • Atlassian Administrator for tools including Bitbucket, Confluence and Jira;
  • Serving in a lead role throughout the full SDLC from conception, architecture definition, detailed design, scoping, planning, implementation, testing to documentation, delivery, and maintenance; and
  • Scripting languages including python, groovy, ansible, terraform, java, powershell, perl, bash.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.

This is a hybrid position working 3 days per week at the company office in Weston, Massachusetts and 2 days per week from a home office.
