Senior Full Stack Engineer

What You’ll Do

• Architecture & Development: Play a critical role in the design, architecture, and implementation of scalable, robust software solutions across the stack.

• End-to-End Engineering: Prototype and develop web applications with complex interaction patterns, flexible components, and efficient backend systems using Python, TypeScript/React, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.

• API & Backend Ownership: Build and maintain server-side applications, APIs, and database management systems that power our platform.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, Customer Success, and Sales to deliver features that solve meaningful customer problems.

• Technical Leadership: Lead projects, guide technical direction, and act as a systems design expert for complex initiatives.

• Quality & Best Practices: Ensure high standards of code quality through testing, reviews, and modern software engineering best practices.

• Mentorship: Support and mentor junior engineers, raising the technical bar across the team.

Who You Are

• 5+ years of full-stack engineering experience, with strong experience in Python, TypeScript/React, and PostgreSQL.

• Deep understanding of Python and modern web frameworks like FastAPI, with experience building and scaling client-facing applications.

• Strong systems design skills, with a solid understanding of architectural paradigms, tradeoffs, and how to build software that can scale.

• Experience with frontend development, including React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, and web components.

• Experience building CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, or similar tools.

• Strong knowledge of ORMs and their tradeoffs.

• Strong product sense. You think about the user, know how to prioritize an MVP, and can help figure out what to build next.

• You move quickly and like to ship, while still being thoughtful about long-term architecture and maintainability.

• You’re comfortable with ambiguity and can fill in the gaps when there isn’t a clear roadmap. You like to prototype, test ideas, and learn quickly before investing in a larger build.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a team.

• Experience working with analytics tools or in health tech is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with AWS offerings (EC2, S3, RDS).

• Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog).

• Active participation in design and product discussions.

• Ability to take initiative and work independently.

The base salary range for this position is $170,000 – $210,000. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we also offer competitive equity and benefits packages.

Compensation Philosophy

Actual base pay will depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Adonis determines compensation based on each candidate’s experience and qualifications relative to peers, and most new hires fall near the middle of the range. In addition to base salary, you’ll receive meaningful equity and great benefits.
