We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer/Architect who has a deep understanding of business insight and can construct and manage data processing architectures. Strong analytics, communication, and collaboration skills are essential for this role. The ideal candidate will be able to turn raw data into actionable intelligence and extract insights from complex datasets. They will work with agile teams in Basel and collaborate with development teams in the US and India.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with collaborators, customers, partners, and team members from different departments, such as Product Managers, Sales, Data Scientists, and Engineers, to understand product goals and needs, driving the data strategy to support these objectives.
• Conduct data analysis to uncover business insights that will inform strategy and decision-making.
• Ensure production readiness by implementing and maintaining robust data pipelines and processes to meet operational requirements and standards, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of data processing.
• Own and maintain critical metrics and reports, supporting customers, leadership, engineers, analysts, and data scientists in making well-informed business decisions.
• Continuously improve the data platform's reliability, scalability, performance, and maintainability by implementing new features and improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or equivalent engineering field with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
• Proven experience in client interactions, translating requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong background in Database Design and Modeling.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data.
• Analytical skills to identify and solve complex problems.
• Proficiency in SQL and an object-oriented programming language such as Java, GO or similar.
• Knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and CSS is a plus.
• Familiarity with developing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience in crafting data warehouses and data cubes for reporting and self-service analytics, with a preference for Tableau or Microsoft’s BI platform.
• Proficient in English, with excellent communication and effective collaboration skills.
