The Opportunity  

We are the market leader in software products and services for the creative & marketing ecosystem with Creative Cloud, Document Cloud, Express, Firefly and Experience Cloud.  

Adobe has made industry-leading progress in addressing the enterprise need for new, scalable ways to create ideas and assets with genAI-infused workflows and products. Adobe Digital Media’s recent launch of genAI-powered products for enterprises including: Firefly Services (APIs), Firefly Custom Models, Object Composites, Style Kits and unique AI features within flagship products like Adobe Photoshop, Express and Illustrator.

  

We're looking for a Director of Creative Enterprise Developer Strategy & Operations to articulate a clear enterprise developer & customer engagement strategy, develop pragmatic actions, drive quality execution, and track progress against goals. You will obsess about enterprise developer needs in an ever-changing technology landscape and set them up for success with Adobe APIs/SDKs and other services. You will be focused on Firefly Services which includes our GenAI, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Content Tagging, and InDesign APIs.  We will be expanding the APIs to include 3D, generative video and other modalities.

Reporting to the VP, Creative Enterprise, a successful leader will embrace extreme enterprise customer & developer orientation, be passionate about prototyping & delivering delightful, scaled creative production experiences, and have a nose for the money (e.g., drive meaningful business impact).

What you’ll do

  • Lead enterprise developer strategy, management, and execution

  • Partner closely with design, engineering, technical program management, and customer functions (pre-sales, post-sales)

  • Define a clear, committed and flexible product alpha/beta customer and development program; Drive objectives and key results to measure the success.

  • Understand the market landscape of API-first / developer-centric businesses, benchmark Adobe’s products, tools and DevEx to spot risks, find opportunities, articulate implications, and drive pragmatic, fast-cycle action

  • Continuously learn and confirm/adjust decision-making using data-driven insights

  • Frequently interact with customers & adjust to the customer context (e.g., alpha research, sales, customer success, prototyping)  

  • Personally engage with product by testing & coding

  • Run necessary internal testing (hackathons, bugbash, doc reviews)

  • Represent Adobe at developer-centric events; present to Digital Media and Adobe leadership on new innovations, progress, landscapes

  • Manage the Principal, Customer Beta Operations & Sr. Manager, Developer Relations Engineer

What you will need to succeed

  • 10+ years of demonstrated strategy, operations & technical leadership in fast-moving, technically oriented context (APIs, developer business)

  • Creative workflows, GenAI experience preferred

  • Proven experience in a ‘start-up’ or ‘0 > 1’ scaling environment; Founder-mentality

  • Extreme passion for solving customer problems

  • Excellent “connector” of people, ideas, activity

  • Outstanding analytic, problem-solving and communication skills.

  • Ability to context switch across products, projects, and customers

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $160,200 -- $312,200 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
