About the team:

Kleinanzeigen & mobile.de SRE team provides essential tooling and support to help our application developers to work in a public cloud environment. We take care of IaC for containerized workloads on Kubernetes, observability integrations, resource management and more. We fight toil, believe in everything as code and enjoy helping our colleagues work smarter and faster. We are involved in Kleinanzeigen ongoing public cloud transformation and we watch over our platform 24/7 to detect and solve incidents in time.

We are looking for you to join our team as a Site Reliability Engineer (d/f/m) .

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and collaborate with product development and software engineering teams. You will enjoy a flexible work environment, with a hybrid setup that combines remote work with occasional on-site meetings in Berlin.

What you will do:

• Focus on finding stable and original solutions for all products in cooperation with the product development groups.

• You will develop Kubernetes operators and automation solutions to empower our development teams

• You'll be free to challenge the norm every day. Take technical decisions and find great solutions to help shape the future architecture of our platform.

• Together with the team, you´ll keep our Infrastructure stable and scalable.

• You will help us handle up to 70k requests per second while our platform is still growing.

• Deep dive into technical issues together with other SRE and Software engineers.

• You´ll be a part of our continuous improvement processes.

What we are looking for:

• You have an extending experience in system design and operations

• You are proficient in public cloud (preferably AWS) and orchestration concepts

• You have proven experience in Go development and you're not afraid of occasional deep-dives into Python, Java and bash

• You’re a master in Kubernetes who is eager to take Helm of our production deployments with ArgoCD

• You write your configuration code in Terraform/Terragrunt

• You are open to coding in Go and occasional deep-dives into Python, bash and Java, etc.

• Replicated data stores like MySQL, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Kafka, etc. do not scare you

• Consult and help others with your expertise makes your day

• You have strong operational and networking skills (TCP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/s).

• You are fluent in English

• You look forward to the thrill of paid on call shifts (after a good portion of onboarding)
