We are looking for a (Senior) Machine Learning Engineer to join our central Data Science team and help support Leboncoin's growth and more broadly Adevinta's by providing ML solutions to its various teams and thus help our millions of users.

As a ML Engineer, you will :

  • Use the amount of data we have to solve various business issues (segmentation, advertising optimization, forecasting, fraud, etc.)

  • Be in charge of the entire ML product lifecycle (data preparation, training, deployment, monitoring, serving, etc.)

Our Central Data Science Team consists of 8 other experienced Data Scientists / ML Engineers (5+ years experience) and is led by a Product Owner and an Engineering Manager. All the team will support you on the data tech stack and help you progress quickly

The Central Data Science Team is located within the Machine Learning Tribe which consists of teams creating business agnostic image models and has enablement teams producing business use cases for teams without data scientists / machine learning engineers.

Your Missions:

  • Gather, analyze and understand business needs from product and cross-functional teams

  • Participate in framing studies before project launches

  • Develop scalable predictive models meeting identified needs

  • Deploy models to production to serve millions of users

  • Define metrics and monitor model performance

  • Manage models and services end-to-end

  • Present to business teams and participate in demos. Ensure follow-up with business teams

  • Perform code reviews and share best practices

  • Conduct research to improve team knowledge

  • Ensure good data practices across teams

Your Profile:

  • 3+ years experience as a ML Engineer

  • Software engineering / Data Science / ML background

  • Advanced Python and experience with ML frameworks

  • Knowledge of ML theory and models

  • Experience deploying models to production

  • Analytical mindset and ability to translate business issues into data science solutions

  • Strong communication skills and teamwork

  • Thorough but open to change

Bonus:

  • Cloud architecture experience (preferably AWS)

  • Experience across full ML product lifecycle

  • Published research or open source contributions

The Steps:

  • 1st phone call with Gregory (Recruiter) to understand your career plan and answer questions

  • 1 technical test done at home to assess ability to approach a data science project

  • 1 on-site interview with 2 Data Scientists to understand your test solution, assess ability to apprehend a new use case and test technical knowledge

  • 1 interview with Elisa (Manager) and 1 Data Science team member to align on expectations and ability to work together

  • 1 interview with Manuel (Head of ML) and Gregory (Recruiter) to discuss company culture, benefits and answer remaining questions

After each step, Gregory will contact you to collect your impressions and determine if the step was conclusive.
